Main Street Bistro is a family-owned, family-friendly bar and restaurant right on Main Street. It’s a local favorite for its cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, and a menu that hits all the comfort food notes. They serve great food, wine, spirits, and even have a full espresso bar. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast here and loved the New Mexico Breakfast Burrito and the Feed Store Breakfast Pizza.

STEP BACK IN TIME AT THE FOOTHILLS HISTORICAL MUSEUM

The Foothills Historical Museum is a fascinating stop that showcases Buckley’s rich history. Run by local volunteers, the museum features thoughtfully curated exhibits like a vintage schoolroom, general store, a working printshop and a telephone exhibit that includes a 1940 pay phone booth. Admission is free and It’s a fun and educational way to see what life was like in the early days of the town.

Just across the street from the Foothills Museum main building, you’ll also find a restored fire lookout tower originally from Salmon River Ridge. The structure was mistakenly built in 1967 on Quinault Nation Lands and moved to the Buckley Museum in 2000. Visitors are welcome to climb the tower year-round.

  • Buckley Log Show – This lively small-town tradition takes place in late June and celebrates the area’s logging heritage.
  • Annual Wine Walk – Every September, downtown Buckley comes alive with wine tastings, live music, and even a little line dancing. Local businesses host stops along the way, making it a fun, social evening out.
  • Buckley Downtown Car Show – Held on the third Saturday in August, Main Street turns into a vibrant showcase of classic and custom cars. The event also features live music, food trucks, and local vendors.
